| Hurat is the leader of a clan of dragons loyal to the Deloi family, and through a scared oath sworn by his great-grandfather to Dragel's great-grandfather, is bound to serve Dragel no matter how crazy he thinks the elf's plans are. Hurat hatched when Dragel was still a very small child, and they grew up together. For a time, they were best friends, but as Dragel grew older and learned more of his family's ways and his power, he pulled back from Hurat. Hurat still hurts over this, and wishes they could go back to being the friends they were before. He is very intelligent, loyal, and patient, and more level headed than Dragel and Furan. Despite this, his advice often goes unheard. He has a strong streak of honor at his core, in spite of the company he keeps, and is straight forward and honest in most endeavors. Physically, he's the strongest character in the story, but lacks any kind of magical power other than breathing fire, which most don't count as magic. He's fast for someone of his massive size, and skilled in dragon combat. |
